"Music was captured by just a single pair of AKG C 414 Limited Edition microphones (ORTF stereo), directly connected to a Nagra IVS reel-to-reel tape recorder with Vovox cables. Nagra was powered by batteries to avoid any electrical noise. At this recording, Nagra served as a microphone preamp only (I like its sound). Nagra’s output was connected (Nagra cable) to a Lyrec PTR-1 “Frida” tape recorder. Music was recorded on RTM SM468 tapes at 15 ips speed using CCIR EQ.

We do not use any editing and or post-processing. We do not manipulate the recording in any way. Once the recording is ready, we create the original “Master” from the original tapes just arranging the tracks in the desired order. As we record entire movements or works, there is no need to edit the track from different recordings. The original master is assembled from the original tapes. It is not a copy at all, it is similar to a “direct cut”. "
